EARTHQUACKE History
In October 1974 the Harbord Diggers RSL Youth Club formed a Big Band primarily as a training ground for young musicians, which over the years had developed into a highly respected amateur stage band.
With various public, private and corporate performances at all types of venue under a wide range of conditions, the band was consistently able to entertain and satisfy its audience.
Under the baton of Cliff Price until 1991, the band successfully met the performance challenge of other well known amateur big bands, but still managed to retain and constantly encourage the developing musicians within.
The original drummer with the band, Mark Milne, assumed the role of conductor in 1991.
In February 1996, Earthquacke Music acquired the band from the Harbord Diggers R.S.L. Youth Club. As the band had an overwhelming majority of adult players it could no longer remain as one of the Clubs activities.
